Back Cover Media Pty Ltd is an independent social enterprise and socially driven media company committed to amplifying diverse voices, empowering communities, and driving meaningful change through inclusive storytelling and impactful initiatives.
Founded in 2023, our mission is to challenge the mainstream media narrative by elevating underrepresented perspectives and building platforms that reflect the richness of our society.
A trusted digital news platform providing diverse, inclusive, and balanced reporting. We publish stories that reflect the real Australia, featuring voices from marginalised communities and tackling issues often overlooked by mainstream media.
Our team of experienced journalists and media professionals work tirelessly to bring you the latest news, analysis, and commentary on a wide range of topics.
Back Cover Media is proud to have partnered with leading organisations—including Meta and The Walkley Foundation—on initiatives that promote media diversity, support emerging voices, and champion innovation in digital storytelling.
In 2025, we launched a Victorian Government–funded initiative to deliver media training workshops for multicultural youth. The program offers hands-on experience in journalism, podcasting, and digital storytelling, guided by a diverse group of industry professionals.
In 2025, Back Cover Media broadened its impact by launching Thrive: Multicultural Women’s Festival—a free, large-scale public event supported by Multicultural Women Victoria and the Multicultural Centre for Women's Health. Taking place on November 1 at Federation Square, Thrive will showcase diverse women through live performances, cultural displays, and interactive workshops focused on health, legal rights, financial literacy, and employment.
Expected to attract thousands of attendees, this vibrant festival signifies a new chapter in our mission to inform, inspire, and empower diverse communities—extending our reach from the screen to in-person experiences.
At Back Cover Media, we are proud to work with a dynamic and diverse collective of journalists, writers, producers, creatives, and community contributors. Our team includes First Nations professionals, people with disability, culturally and linguistically diverse contractors, and passionate volunteers—each bringing unique perspectives and lived experiences to the work we do.
Together, we’re united by a shared commitment to storytelling with integrity, impact, and inclusion. Whether developing breaking news, producing podcasts, delivering training workshops, or coordinating large-scale events, our people are at the heart of everything we do.
At Back Cover Media, our mission is to amplify diverse voices and drive social impact through inclusive, community-centred storytelling, media innovation, and public engagement.
We aim to inform, inspire, and empower by producing content that reflects the lived experiences of underrepresented communities, building platforms that challenge the status quo, and creating programs and events that foster equity, access, and cultural pride.
Whether through journalism, podcasting, training initiatives, or large-scale public events, we believe storytelling is a powerful catalyst for social connection, opportunity, and lasting change.
We’re kicking off a creative journey with workshops in podcasting, journalism, and more. You bring the passion—we’ll bring the tools.
